Teniendo en cuenta estadísticas de lo juegos olímpicos de China, más de 100 millones de personas miraron los juegos en  Internet; en Inglaterra una cadena de TV registró unas 40 millones de sesiones con más de 6.5 millones de horas frente a los ordenadores además en todo Europa se sumaron 18 millones de personas solicitando el contenido, y NBCOlympics tuvo un total de 75 millones de transmisiones VOD y 9.9 millones de horas de usuarios disfrutando de las olimpiadas.
